Dexerto
I worked at Dexerto from June 2022 to September 2024, where both my E-Commerce and Tech roles were dissolved. During my time at the company, I worked my way up from staff writer to E-Commerce editor, with the last few weeks as Deputy Tech Editor.

On top of managing teams and social accounts, I also built a web tool to provide easier access to affiliation for the rest of the team. Alongside Sayem Ahmed, we built the tech section to a six person team and made hundreds of thousands of dollars in commission.

As E-Commerce Editor, I managed Black Friday 2023, as well as running the section until its dissolution in April. Before the Google Helpful Content Update, we provided a suite of guides and deals posts. These included toys, games, LEGO and integrating affiliation into the wider site’s coverage of reality TV.

I’m extremely proud of the work we did with Magic: The Gathering too, making it one of the most succesful elements of the site in 2023 and 2024. We participated in card reveals, exclusive interviews and attending events. Jack Bye took over the section, and with some guidance we were able to grow it far past Dexerto’s original expectations.

I would rewrite and apply copy for high-end video products, with a focus on the prosumer market. Working within the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite to create mockups of landing pages, website redesigns and supplying them to the internal design team to bring to life.

Utilised the whole Adobe Suite to bring pages to their best, including After Effects, Photoshop and Premiere Pro.

Worked alongside the design team to bring rich content forward to all Pro Business units in an easy-to-pick-up fashion. Mentored two members of staff.

Wrote and mocked up product guides and buyer’s guides for the website, which then go to the design team for completion. These included Blackmagic Design, DJI, LaCie and Adobe. I then Utilised the copy from these to turn into guides for Scan Managed Accounts and Sales teams.

I helped manage and run the Social Media channels for the Pro Video department, including paid campaigns, scheduling and creating the content for Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Unfortunately, most of my larger pieces have been lost to time, as is the nature of ecommerce.

  • Blackmagic Design buyer’s guide (2019)
  • Adobe buyer’s guide
  • Blackmagic Design 4K Pocket Cinema Camera
  • Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro G2
  • Gigabyte Aero launch landing page
  • DJI Buyer’s Guide
